La Fábrica began to manage travelling exhibitions in 1999. Some of them were originally scheduled for PHotoEspaña and travelled after the Festival, and others were conceived and implemented directly by La Fábrica.

The work carried out during those years led to establishment of the Exhibitions Area in 2004 in order to design and carry out new projects by both Spanish and international artists and take them to prestigious centres, museums and institutions all over the world, confirming La Fábrica as a great exhibition producer.

Exhibitions have been shown in important museums and art centres such as the Centre National de la Photographie Paris; The Netherlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam; Lambert Collection in Avignon; Landesmuseum in Graz; Forum für Fotografie in Cologne; Padiglione d´Arte Contemporánea in Milan; Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin and Gemeentemuseum Den Haag in The Hague. Outstanding art spaces in Spain have included the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid; IVAM in Valencia; Museo Colecciones ICO in Madrid; Tecla Sala, in Hospitalet de Llobregat; Centro Cultural Conde Duque in Madrid; Sala Rekalde in Bilbao; Artium in Vitoria; Centro Andaluz de Arte ontemporáneo in Seville.?

The objective is to increase knowledge of these projects by introducing them to a larger number of viewers in other cities and countries.

Some of these exhibitions include Man Ray, László Moholy-Nagy, Alberto García-Alix, Javier Vallhonrat, W. Eugene Smith and Dorothea Lange as well as group exhibitions such as Neorealism. The New Image in Italy1932-1960 and The Seventies. Photography and Daily Life.
