La Fábrica is developing the model, including uses and activities, for a new centre to be located in the Old Tobacco Factory in Madrid and focused on promoting and disseminating the visual arts: the National Visual Arts Centre.

The centre will place special emphasis on fields directly related to photography, cinema and television and will always maintain an open attitude that does not exclude other disciplines.?

Furthermore, it will not attempt to be an institution devoted solely to preservation and dissemination but will also encourage creative projects and contribute to the formation of new audiences.

Because of this, the activities programme to be developed will address all types of public, from image experts to the public at large.
