In 2007 La Fábrica devised a cultural action model for the City Council of San Cristóbal de la Laguna in order to complete the city’s resources of equipment and cultural activities with a multidisciplinary offer addressed
to all types of public.

La Laguna has three historical buildings available for this purpose and their cultural uses were defined by La Fábrica.

La Fábrica also designed a dynamic complete cultural package that includes an annual calendar of multidisciplinary activities for all types of public and describes the cultural uses for each of the three buildings held by the City Council:

– The former Santo Domingo Convent as a resource centre.
– The former San Agustín Convent as an exhibition centre.
– The Polvorín (ammunitions depot) as a space for artistic interventions.

The programme is complemented by a calendar of cultural events to be held throughout the year.

With this, San Cristóbal de La Laguna would add an image of innovation and support of contemporary culture to its current image as a historical city and World Heritage Site.
