Angolana was an initiative designed to strengthen the bilateral relations between Angola and Spain. Taking as a starting point the promotion and knowledge of the arts and the Angolan culture, Angolana was also designed to stimulate the exchange of experiences between Angolan and Spanish businessmen.

The numerous activities during Angolana 2013 included the exhibition Memory and forgetfulness; a visit to the facilities of CSIC; the spectacle of contemporary dance Friendly Landscapes of the choreographer Ana Clara Guerra Marques, an Angolan Music Gala and the presentation of the increasingly popular Kizomba dance.
