La herencia árabe se fue pero vuelve, América Latina se abre paso hoy con fuerza en el territorio desde que fue conquistada. Los viajas de ida y vuelta son los que nutren la gran aportación española al mundo: el mestizaje. Dos creadores de diferentes procedencias como Najat el Hachmi, española nacida en Marruecos y catalana de adopción, y Santiago Roncagliolo, peruano, ponen en común sus experiencias de arraigos y desarraigos.

Después de su primer ensayo, Jo també soc catalana (2004), ha publicado novelas de gran éxito como El último patriarca (2008, Premio Ramon Llull, Prix Ulysse y finalista del Prix Mediterranée Étranger), La cazadora de cuerpos (2011), La hija extranjera (2015, Premi Sant Joan de narrativa) o Madre de leche y miel (2018). En 2019 publicó el manifiesto Siempre han hablado por nosotras, con gran repercusión, y actualmente colabora en El País.

Lima, 1975. Escritor, dramaturgo, guionista y periodista. Abril Rojo (2006) recibió el premio Alfaguara y Independent Prize of Foreign Fiction británico. La Pena Máxima (2014) fue finalista del premio francés Violeta Negra y ha sido llevada al cine, al igual que Pudor (2004). Y líbranos del mal (2021) se mantuvo durante un año en la lista de las novelas peruanas más vendidas. Su último libro, de cuentos, se titula Lejos y habla sobre la vida de los latinoamericanos en España. También ha publicado una trilogía de historias sobre el siglo XX hispanoamericano, entre ellas, La cuarta espada (2007) sobre Sendero Luminoso y El amante Uruguayo (2012) sobre Federico García Lorca. Sus libros para niños han sido distinguidos con el premio Barco de Vapor y el White Raven de la Biblioteca de Munich.
